Our laboratory will be closed between Thursday 17th April 2025 - Tuesday 22nd April 2025 for Easter.
Please ensure that any samples sent to the lab arrive by Wednesday 16th April 2025, or after Wednesday 23rd April 2025.

Dr Jen Canizales from our laboratory has been collaborating with Dr Elaine Fuertes from Imperial College London on a project to improve the tracking of airborne pollen allergens. The goal is to provide hay fever sufferers with better tools to manage their symptoms. Dr Jen Canizales research visit to Italy

In March, supported by a Horizon Europe grant led by Dr Elaine Fuertes, Dr Jen Canizales spent two weeks in France training in spectrometry techniques to improve airborne allergen analysis. She was supervised and guided by Dr Gabriela Graziani (Politecnico di Milano, Università di Bologna) and Prof Laura Riva (Politecnico di Milano). Whilst there, Jen gave a presentation on the work carried out by the OEM Laboratory Service to staff at students at Politecnico di Milano.
Laboratory receives Silver LEAF award

Lab Technician Sam Marsh, who leads sustainability efforts at the OEM Laboratory Service, successfully applied for and secured the Bronze LEAF award in March this year, followed by the Silver LEAF award in August.
The Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) supports laboratories in reducing carbon emissions and improving sustainability practices. These achievements highlight the OEM Laboratory Service’s strong commitment to sustainability.
