Members of the clinical team attended the first “EuroGORDS” meeting in Leuven, Belgium on 14 October. A traditional Belgian meal was followed by a day of research presentations from the department at KU Leuven headed by Professor Ben Nemery, who kindly hosted this event, as well as short presentations by the UK-based groups. 

The meeting demonstrated a breadth of work in occupational and environmental lung disease across the UK, and prompted discussion about a wider European group meeting in the future. The department looks forward to hosting the next meeting in London at the Royal Brompton Hospital on 7 February.
