Clinical Nurse Specialist in Occupational Lung Disease

Tamanna Kabir is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Occupational Lung Disease at the Royal Brompton Hospital. She works with patients and the multidisciplinary team to run the weekly occupational lung disease clinic. She carries out nursing assessments including lung function tests (spirometry, FeNO and peak flow measurements) and skin prick testing, and also provides education and training for both patients and colleagues in occupational lung disease.
Tamanna won the Heart, Lung and Critical Care Nurse of the Year aware at the 2025 Nursing & Midwifery Awards by Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, which the Royal Brompton Hospital is a part of.
Tamanna has a background in community nursing, communications in the charity sector, and a previous undergraduate degree in Psychology.
