National Heart and Lung Institute (Imperial College London)

Justie started her PhD at the National Heart and Lung Institute and the Environmental Research Group in June 2021. She completed her MSc in Global Air Pollution and Health at King’s College London in 2019, and is passionate about studying the health effects related to air pollution.

Her work looks at the adverse health effects of exposure to dust on the London Underground. This study aims to measure and model the exposure of workers to particulate matter on the LU to determine if exposure to different concentrations of PM causes increased rates of cardio-respiratory sickness absence and mortality.
