Justie Mak presented her PhD project, The Adverse Health Effects of Exposure to PM2.5 on the London Underground, at the International Society of Exposure Science conference at Lisbon.

Her talk was part of a symposium, Exposure to poor air quality on global subway and metro systems– understanding sources, quantifying health impacts, developing solutions & transferring knowledge.

Other speakers in the symposium were from the UK, Denmark, Canada, and the USA. She enjoyed the opportunity to meet other researchers and have interesting discussions.
