Colt Foundation Student Impact Day 2022

17 May, 2022

Professor Paul Cullinan, Dr Johanna Feary, Dr Jennifer Canizales and Magda Wheatley attended the Colt Foundation Student Impact Day at the Royal Society of Medicine.

The meeting was held in memory of Jackie Douglas who served as Director of the Colt Foundation between 1999-2019. Research funded by the Colt Foundation on occupational and environmental health was presented. Talks included research on tuberculosis in gold miners, Mesoamerican nephropathy in agricultural workers, and post-traumatic stress disorder in journalists.

The Colt Foundation considers applications for funding high quality research projects in the field of occupational and environmental health, particularly those aimed at discovering the cause of illnesses arising from conditions at the place of work. The Trustees are especially keen to fund research that is going to make a difference to legislation or working practices.  See The Colt Foundation.
