Occupational and Environmental Lung Disease 2014

This BTS one day short course on Occupational & Environmental Lung Disease is organised by Dr Chris Barber, Centre for Workplace Health, Sheffield and Professor Paul Cullinan, National Heart and Lung Institute, London.
The principal learning objectives of the course will be:
- To be aware of the causes and pathophysiology of acute and chronic occupational and environmental lung diseases.
- To be competent in taking a detailed history of possible environmental and occupational exposures.
- To be aware of how occupational and environmental lung diseases are investigated, including interpretation of lung function testing and the role of challenge testing.
- To understand the management principals in occupational and environmental lung disease, particularly the importance of early diagnosis and exposure avoidance where appropriate.
